How To Make Money Online. The Real Truth.

How Special Is Your Email List?

First of all if you are a marketer that only sends email with offers and never any content. This is probably not for you. If all you send out is ad swaps your open rate is probably very low also. Again this is based on what I do, you may do very well at this and good for you. Personally I can only take about three of those type of emails in a row and I’m gone. I actually have been cleaning house this whole week. After a certain amount of emails from different marketers and separating them into special named folders. I know exactly what type of emails they send and if they have helped me in anyway. This type of organizing, allows me to easily decide who’s list I’m going to stay on and unsubscribe from.

Using this example will better illustrate what I am talking about when doing something for your list. I was on a sales page the other day that I went to from a link in an email which was sent from the seller. After going through the content it didn’t seem like the product would be an asset to anything I do. The product started out at $39.00 and by the time I got through the five or six exit blockers (pop ups) the price was down to $14.00. So other than the fact that it would make you extremely mad if you paid the $39.00 for the product what else does it tell you? It tells me that this marketer is willing to accept $14.00.

If this seller is willing to take $14.00 for a $39.00 product. How do you think that would work with your list? I have done this before in my niche with my list. I wrote a new ebook and was about a week from taking it live. So I sent my list a broadcast that a new product was going to be coming out soon and they would be receiving a special price. When I created the sales page for my web site, it’s very easy to save twice and very simple to put a different price on each one. Just save the page for your list as a special and no follow for the search engines.

Right after the page went live on my website which I am selling for $17.97 as a back end down sell to my main product. The special price page went up also with a 48 hour timer on it for $8. The broadcast was then sent to my list with a link to the special price page and purchases were made on a regular basis for almost 2 days.

So the point is, if you create a product that you are going to sell for $39.00 but willing to take $14.00 for. Why send the link for the $39.00 to your email list and put them through all the crap and make them mad when they find out that when all is said and done you would take $14.00 for it. Wouldn’t it be more beneficial to you as a marketer to just offer it to your list at the bottom line price. Your list is very important to you, show them that on occasion. Doing something like this shows you list how much you appreciate them, a reason to stay on your list and increase your open rate. Remember a list of 50,000 isn’t any better than one of 1000 if only 500 read the email from each list.
